What hiring us actually looks like.
No mystery, no moving goalposts. From the free inspection to the final magnetic nail sweep, here is the entire process — including the parts other contractors leave out of the sales pitch.

The process, start to finish
Seven steps, each one in writing. This is the same process on every full replacement we do.
Free inspection
A roofer climbs the roof and walks the attic, photographing what we find. You get an honest written assessment — if the roof has years left, that is what it says.
Written estimate, good-better-best
You get a clear written scope of work with material options laid out side by side — typically an Owens Corning lineup from the dependable Oakridge line up to Class 4 impact-resistant Duration STORM shingles. Estimates are valid for 30 days. No pressure, no expiring same-day discounts.
Approval and scheduling
Once you approve, a 50% deposit locks in your spot and materials, with the balance due on completion. We confirm the start date when the weather window is solid.
Prep day
The morning of, we tarp landscaping, the AC condenser, and the pool deck. Inside, you move fragile wall hangings and attic valuables — roofing work vibrates the whole structure, and we tell you exactly what to stow beforehand.
Tear-off and decking inspection
The old roof comes off down to the decking, and every sheet gets inspected for rot and water damage. Bad wood is replaced before anything new goes on — anything significant is documented and approved by you in writing first.
The new system goes on
Underlayment, drip edge, flashing at every penetration and transition, vents, and the roof covering go on in sequence. Every penetration, transition, and flashing area is sealed for a watertight system — flashing is replaced, not reused.
Final inspection and cleanup
We walk the finished roof, sweep the yard and driveway with magnets for nails, and haul away all debris. You get your written workmanship warranty — 5 years on full replacements — before we call the job done.
How to prepare your home
A replacement is loud, vibrating work. Ten minutes of prep saves a broken picture frame.
Move vehicles out of the driveway before the crew and material delivery arrive
Clear patio furniture, planters, and outdoor décor away from the house
Take down fragile wall hangings and shelf items — hammering vibrates interior walls
Cover or move anything valuable stored in the attic; dust will fall during tear-off
Unlock gates and let us know about sprinkler heads or buried lines near the house
Plan for noise during work hours — most replacements wrap up in one to three days
Everything in writing, on purpose
The roofing complaints you read about almost always come down to the same thing: the homeowner and the contractor remember the conversation differently. We take that failure mode off the table. The scope of work is written. The estimate is written and valid for 30 days. Changes get a written change order. The warranty is written.
It also keeps us honest. When the whole job is spelled out before a deposit changes hands, there is no room for the surprise add-ons and moving targets that give this industry its reputation.

Frequently asked questions
Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate. Material pricing moves, so if you come back after that we re-confirm the numbers before you sign anything.
A 50% deposit is due before scheduling or starting work unless your estimate states otherwise, with the balance due on completion of the approved scope. You are never asked to pay in full up front.
Some conditions are invisible until the old roof comes off. We inspect every sheet of decking after tear-off, and minor wood replacement is handled on the spot so the roof can be made watertight without delay. If we find anything beyond minor repairs, we stop, show you photos, and agree on next steps in writing before continuing.
Any work outside the approved scope — upgrades, additions, changes — gets a written change order approved by you before it happens. The only exception is work necessary to protect your home from active water intrusion or an unsafe condition.
Scheduling in Central Texas is always subject to weather. We do not tear off a roof with rain in the forecast, and if a start date slips we tell you as soon as we know. A watertight roof matters more than an optimistic calendar.
City permits and HOA or architectural review approvals are typically the homeowner's responsibility unless written into your estimate, but we supply everything those approvals need — manufacturer specs, color samples, and documentation.
